The project

The "Song of Hellas" project aims to present the poetry set to music that was inspired by the Greek ideal from the 18th century to the present day. The project is divided into three parts:

Documentation of the songs

A list of the songs is in preparation: the poems will be translated into several languages and the biographies of composers and poets will be presented. Those interested can find sources of supply for the sheet music and sound recordings.

Sound recordings

Young talented artists took part in the project with sound and video recordings made in the studio of the non-profit society Ars-Augusta eV. A CD compilation will be released in December 2021. All sound recordings can also be heard on this website free of charge.
The society's studio is still open for sound recordings and invites all artists to participate. We would particularly like to continue documenting songs that have never been recorded

Song recitals

We organize events and arrange musicians for concerts by other organisers.
The project was carried out under the auspices and with the Sponsorship of the Committee
