Adriana Gheorghisor

The Romanian soprano Adriana Gheorghisor studied opera singing at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence. She currently lives in Vienna, where she studies and works at the Vienna State Opera, in one of the opera house's programs for the preparation of young artists. She made her operatic debut with the role of Lauretta from Giacomo Puccini's opera "Gianni Schicchi" at the Teatro di Figline in Valdarno (Italy). In 2016 she started a collaboration with the Komische Oper Bucharest. Here she will have the opportunity to debut various roles, including in the operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: "Die Zauberflöte" (Pamina), "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" (Blondchen), "Bastien und Bastienne" (Bastienne), " The Drama Director "(Madame Herz). Other roles in her repertoire: Lischen in JS Bach's "Kaffee-Kantate" and Annina in Johann Strauss' "Una notte a Venezia". In 2019 she won auditions for the Transilvanian Opera Academy, and the Opera Studio of the Cluj-Napoca Opera House. The love and interest in vocal chamber music led her to collaborate with the pianist Tudor Caldare. As a duo they take part in concerts and recitals in countries such as: Romania, Italy, Belgium, Moldova, Bulgaria, Hungary. In 2016 they received the third prize at the International Duo International Competition Suzana Szörenyi, in Bucharest. Further prizes in music competitions are: First prize in the Emanuel Elenescu competition, III. Prize in the Martian Negrea competition, the special prize in memory of Bács Lajos Díj in the Magyar Zene Fesztivál competition. From the repertoire of oratorio and church music she sings the "Messiah" by GFHändel, "Stabat Mater" by GBPergolesi and the "Requiem" by WAMozart, which she sang in collaboration with the Transylvania State Philarmonic Orchestra and the San Felice Ensemble. Participation in courses and master classes with: Bruno Rigacci, Roland Schubert, Eva Marton, Mariella Devia, Enza Ferrari, Mariana Nicolesco, Eleonora Pacetti, Larisa Gergieva, Rockwell Blake, Nelly Miricioiu.

The pianist Tudor Caldare received his Masters in Music from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, Belgium in 2015 with Prof. Piet Kuijken, and his Bachelor's degree from the Luigi Cherubini Conservatorium in Florence, Italy in 2011. He has performed under the direction of Daniele Giorgi, Paolo Ponziano Ciardi and Leonard Boga in various cities in Italy and Romania as well as in master classes under the direction of Dario de Rosa, Renato Zanettovich, Bruno Canino, Larisa Gergieva, Andres Carlos Machado and Sandu Sandrin. His performance also includes a recital in the "George" Enescu 'Philharmonic in Bucharest and for the live broadcast "Muzicieni de azi ... muzicieni de mâine ..." on Radio România Cultural, moderated by Rodica Sava, in 2006 and 2008. For his artistic development  important was his membership in the cultural foundation “Remember Enescu” in Romania between 2004 and 2008. He currently lives in Vienna and forms a duo with the soprano Adriana Gheorghisor. Together they were awarded the third prize at the international duo competition "Suzana Szörenyi", Bucharest, Romania.
